About Chris Wherry
Chris Wherry was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. Chris began his first career at age 11 when he fell in love with the sport of road cycling. His passion for the sport grew quickly and he ultimately spent 13 years as a top professional. His biggest win came in 2005 when he won the U.S. Professional Road Cycling Championships. That same year he moved to Durango CO after discovering the wonderful lifestyle in Southwest Colorado. After retiring from racing in 2009, he has spent two years as a team director, traveling the world with one of the top professional cycling teams. Chris’ drive and determination as a cyclist has helped transition him to life off the bike. Chris spent 6 years working with his wife Melissa in real estate before moving into the lending world. His real estate experience has made him an ideal lender as he is very familiar with the real estate process. His attention to detail, personal and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to almost any situation, makes Chris the ideal person to handle an efficient mortgage transaction.
